Intuitive Art for Everyone

Can't paint?  Can't draw?  Feel the buzz of creativity but blocked by the blank page?

Join Kate Boulamaali, our Calyx Artist in Residence, for an exploration of the intersection of your intuition guided by artistic expression.  Release concepts of what it must "be" or represent and consider how art might feel when expressed through the intuitive eye as opposed to the physical eye.

Debra Straten and Anneliese Wainwright  will shift your external environment through chanting, drumming and ritual.  The altered space around you supports movement into an altered state for your consciousness and directs an opening of new perspectives and intuition for artistic expression.

As you enter flow, we invite you to feel your body as an important collaborator in the process. Dr. Glenn will be available to release somatic blocks in your internal environment  through chiropractic adjustment as you become more engaged in the creative experience.

Kate Boulamaali  has been an art educator in NYC for 20 years and holds degrees in both Fine Arts and Education. Summer vacation brings her to Austin as our Calyx Artist in Residence.  And, in fact, Kate was a born artist.   She woke up every Saturday morning not to watch cartoons but to draw before she even could talk.   She is skilled in multiple mediums:  painting, pottery, weaving, drawing.    She believes in the great power of healing derived from the artistic process as it relates to all human experiences.  Her passion is in igniting the thrill of art in everyone regardless of experience, medium or skill level.
